Bowing dynamics for the Roland GR-55.

A hardware prototype that lets a violinist’s bowing shape the Roland GR-55 synthesizer. It follows the energy of the signal, which rises and falls with the bow, and uses it to control the attack, sustain and release of the synth.

It also reduces the false triggering of the synth’s PCM tones caused by the sharp attacks of the input.
