Chutti

A LEGO robot that plays chords from an iPad.

Chutti is a robot arm built with LEGO EV3, running Linux and programmed in Python, that plays chords on an iPad.

The iPad runs a TouchOSC interface that talks wirelessly to a NodeMCU board, which turns each touch into MIDI chords for any sound module.

In the video, Chutti plays Ilaiyaraaja’s “Kadhal Oviyam” with Sa Rangappriya on violin and me on bass.
